The First Vice President Emphasizes on the Strengthening the Country's Free Zones, in Particular, Kish Island
Kish Island, February 17, 2019- The First Vice President says the development of Kish Island investment capacities in different areas contributes to the development of the country's economy.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, in his meeting with Dr. Gholam Hossein Mozaffari, the Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization on Saturday, Eshaq Jahangiri emphasized on the importance of strengthening the country's free zones, especially Kish Free Zone.
The First Vice President added: "Taking advantage of Kish investment capacities in different economic areas from tourism to international banking will contribute to have economic prosperity in this region as well as the development of Iranian economy.
The First Vice President stated: carrying out specific projects in the field of tourism and inviting foreign banks to operate in Kish as well as establishing an international exchange in this Free Zone of the country is one of the measures that will expand the capacities of the Island.
In this meeting, Gholam Hossein Mozaffari, the Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization, also presented a report on the actions taken on Kish Island in recent months.
He expressed the necessity of providing the foundation and priorities of investment in this free zone of the country, and said: Considering the importance of infrastructure development for attracting investors, completion of the 35,000-ton quay project at the trade port of the island and the new airport terminal are among the underway priorities in Kish.
