According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, with the anticipated measures and active participation of domestic and foreign industry professionals in the aerospace industry, the 9th Kish International Exhibition of Aerospace and Aviation was widely welcomed by tourists in Kish Island.
The opening ceremony was attended by Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami, Secretary of Iran’s High Council of Free Trade Zones Morteza Bank, Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, Iran’s Vice President for Science and Technology, Sorena Sattari, and the CEO of Kish Free Zone Organization Mohammad Ebrahim Ansari Lari.
On November 26, the first day of the Air Show, more than 15,000 people watched the spectacular view of the planes in Kish sky.
On the second day of the Air Show, more than 17,000 people attended the venue, enjoying the aerobatic performance of the air teams.
Attractions of this important event in the country's air industry have increased the occupancy rate of hotels and accommodations in Kish to 87%, and there were 95 flights to Kish Island during the first two days of the airshow which indicates that the exhibition and air shows have been widely welcomed by tourists.
There were also 200 media activists to cover the exhibition and airshow.
Also over 100 Iranian and 10 foreign companies participated in the four-day event.
Iran International Air Show is the most important event in the country's civil aviation industry which was first launched 18 years ago on Kish Island and has been regularly held once every two years ever since.
The 9th Iran Air Show was held from Nov. 26 to 29 in Kish Island where various fighter jets performed aerobatics as part of the program.
