Iran's Deputy Minister of Interior:
Security Key to Development of International Ties
Kish Island, May 11, 2016-Iran's Deputy Minister of Interior Mohammad Hossein Zolfaghari has highlighted the role of security in developing ties among nations, saying Iran seeks to counter organized crimes via holding ICAO summit.
"Terrorism, fraud, counterfeit, and different ties of international crimes get more complicated as countries develop and countering such organized crimes is the aim of holding the summit," Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization quoted Zolfaghari as saying.
The Iranian official made the comment during a speech at the 8th edition of ICAO international summit in Kish.
He also said security can be maintained via developing related infrastructures.
He also said the Islamic Republic of Iran as a member of the international community is the pioneer of the battle against terrorism.
Zolfaghari reiterated that ICAO seminar showcases Iran's achievements regarding ID documents, passports and information exchange.
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a UN specialized agency, established in 1944 to manage the administration and governance of the Convention on International Civil Aviation.
