Secretary of Supreme Council of Iran's Free Zones Visits KFZO Stand at IORA Expo
Kish Island, May 21, 2016- Secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade and Industrial Zones and the top advisor to Iranian president along with the deputy minister of ICT, and a number of directors of Iran's free zones visited Kish Free Zone Organization's stand at an exhibition held on the sidelines of the IORA summit in the southeastern port city of Chabahar.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, during the visit, Akbar Torkan was briefed on KFZO capabilities and future development plans.
Hendurabi Island development project, Avay-e-Khalij Fars project, new Kish airport terminal and Kish harbor plans were among the projects showcased at KFZO stand.
The exhibition was held on the sidelines of the 1st IORA Free Trade Zones Authorities Summit at Chabahar International Convention Center.
Organized by the Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade, Industrial and Special Economic Zones, Sistan & Baluchestan Provincial Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the summit was held on 19-20 May 2016.
Challenges facing the development of free zones in IORA member states were among the issues discussed during the two-day event.
Issues related to energy, industry, trade and technology were also raised during the international summit.
