Kish to Be Turned into Financial Hub
Kish Island, August 17, 2015 - Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization Dr. Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan says a financial hub will be established in Kish to facilitate implementation of banking regulations in the Persian Gulf Island.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, .Dr. Mounesan said that the financial hub will be established in Kish island to facilitate banking procedures in the Persian Gulf Island.
“This will facilitate implementation of banking regulations and help turning Kish into a free market, boosting economic activates in the Persian Gulf Island,” he added.
He also said a cargo center is to be established in Kish as part of efforts to boost financial activities on the Persian Gulf Island.
“Foreign countries have already expressed interest in the venture. A special place will be designated for constructing the site sot that the goods and commodities imported into Kish will be kept in a makeshift warehouse. This site has a very high capacity and after it is constructed there will be a sort of regional competition,” he was quoted as saying by the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization.
Dr. Mounesan reiterated that talks with different foreign groups have already started to implement the project.
“ Meetings have been held with different foreign groups and a foreign delegation will travel to Kish as early as next week to conclude a contract. If the deal is done, a major trade accomplishment will be made in Kish,” KFZO chief noted.
