Kish Sees 28 Percent Increase in Sea Tourist Arrivals

Kish Island, March 23, 2018-The number of tourists traveling to Kish Island by sea rose 28 percent from March 16 to 21, (which marks vacation time in the New Persian Year), to reach a total of about 26000.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, The rate of tourist arrival from the maritime route in the 6-day period from March 16 to 21, 2018 reached 25 thousand and 989 people. The figure shows a 28% year-on-year increase with the increase of 5,700 tourists.

Last year in the same period, 20 thousand and 277 people entered the island of Kish by sea.

Meanwhile, 4,955 cars were imported to Kish Island, which grew by 6% compared to 4,691 vehicles last year.

It is worth mentioning that on March 21(first day of the New Persian Year) 7,111 people traveled to Kish with 1,408 cars and 50 car carrier ships which indicates the increase of 2000 passengers, 40 cars, and 10  car carrier ships.
