Kish Public Spaces to Get Free Wi-Fi Network
Kish Island, August 1, 2015 -Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan says public spaces across the Persian Gulf Island of Kish will get access to free Wi-Fi network.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Dr. Mounesan said KFZO has already planned 20 projects to develop IT and ICT infrastructure on Kish Island.
KFZO head said free Wi-Fi networks has already been set up at Kish airport halls as well as a number of shopping malls across the Persian Gulf island.
Creating a 16-kilometer optic fiber network in eastern and northern parts of island, Dr. Mounesan said, was one of the major projects carried out to expand IT infrastructure on Kish Island.
He described Kish as "City of Media" and said developing IT infrastructure tops the agenda of KFZO.
Dr. Mounesan said Kish Free Zone Organization attaches great significance to developing electronic services in the island in an effort to boost transparency and minimize bureaucracy in Kish.
