Kish Hosts International Optics and Optometry Exhibition

Kish Island, November 28, 2015- The first edition of international exhibition on optics and optometry has kicked off on Kish Island.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, the four-day event got underway on November 26th at Kish International Exhibitions Center. A number of brands from France, Italy, UAE, Spain and Kuwait in addition to Iranian top companies specialized for professionals took part in this exhibition.

The international exhibition is aimed at transferring state-of-art optometry technology to Iran and attracting foreign investment in the country, providing the latest technologies and achievements in the field of optics, direct communication between local and foreign companies operating in the optical industry, building a thriving business and creating a direct relationship between customers and suppliers of goods and services as well as introducing Kish Island as a pilot for the optics industry. It is also seen as a major step in boosting domestic products and setting up trade ties with regional countries.

Also, workshops in the fields of optometry, lens construction and optic trade are to be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.

It should be mentioned that, all visitors have to register and receive their permission cards for visiting KIOPEX once they intend to enter the exhibition hall at the entrance of the exhibition.

KIOPEX is the First International Optic Fair in Iran. This exhibition is the most important event in the history of the country's optical market where International companies will be able to directly access this market for the very first time.

KIOPEX takes place on Kish Free Zone where there are no commercial barriers for companies to import and export their goods. The Island is also very close to Dubai, with daily flights between Dubai and Kish. It is conveniently 30 minutes away from the "Pearl of Persian Gulf.” Making it easier for visitors and exhibitors to travel to this location.
