Kish Hospital Equipped with MRI Unit
Kish Island, January 27, 2016 - Kish super-specialty has been equipped with an MRI unit as part of efforts by Kish Free Zone Organization to boost medical tourism in the Persian Gulf island.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Dr. Khalkhali, the Director of Kish super specialty hospital said the MRI unit will be operational by the end of the Persian Calendar year (which ends on March 20th, 2016).
Dr. Khalkhali also said the establishment of a VIP unit is also among the projects aimed at boosting health tourism in Kish.
He also highlighted the capacities and potentials of Kish island in promoting health tourism and expressed the hope that the necessary measures would be taken in this regard.
Kish hospital has 64 beds and is equipped with super-specialty clinics as well as different wards including laser therapy, endoscopy, and physiotherapy.
KFZO has been seeking to modernize the hospital as part of efforts to turn Kish Island into a health tourism center in the region.
Interaction with Iranian and international medical experts, equipping Kish hospital with state-of-the-art facilities, ICU and CCU units, as well as setting up a modern laboratory at the hospital, are among the significant activities carried out by KFZO to promote healthcare services on Kish Island in recent years.
Low medical costs, favorable weather, modern recreational and tourism facilities, high level of security, as well organized traffic, have made the Island an ideal place for health tourism.
