Kish Green Space Per Capita 9 Times Higher than Intl. Standards

Kish Island, June 22, 2016- According to a report released by the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Green Space Per Capita in Kish island has witnessed a 40% increase over the past three years.

Director of Kish Investment and Development Company, Parham Janfeshan, said Kish Free Zone Organization has taken massive steps in expanding parks and developing green space across the Persian Gulf island over the past three years.

He also noted that green space per capita has reached 170 square meters since then.

Janfeshan also said that thanks to the construction of various parks in Kish, the Persian Gulf island has already surpassed the global standards in terms of green space.

He pointed to a number of green space projects to be carried out in the near future, among them green space project, near the Dolphins’ Park as part of efforts to set up a green belt surrounding the island.

“Environment-friendly technologies including solar lights are among the facilities to be utilized in new parks across Kish island,” said the director of Kish Investment and Development Company.

The measures carried out by KFZO to increase green space across the island come as part of efforts to boost the beauty of the island as well as improving the mental health of the residents and tourists visiting the coral reef island.
