Kish Gets Ready to Hold Intl. Confab, Expo on Marine Industries
Kish Island, October 13, 2016- Officials from Kish Free Zone Organization have held a preparatory meeting ahead of the 18th edition of the international conference on marine industries.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, top KFZO managers, as well as the organizers of the marine exhibition, took part in the meeting to discuss ways to hold the event in the best possible way.
Meeting the recreational needs and accommodation of guests, introducing potentials of Kish Island to participants, as well as providing appropriate services to them were among the key issues raised in the meeting.
During the gathering, Reza Seraj, the Director of Kish Investment and Development Company, pointed to the 82% rise in the number of participants of this year’s marine industries’ exhibition in Kish and said foreigners have warmly welcomed the events.
He said over 300 Iranian and foreign companies will attend the 18th edition of the international conference on marine industries.
Seraj noted that 107 foreign companies have already voiced their preparedness to take part in the conference.
He described the exhibition as a great opportunity to showcase Iranian companies’ achievements in marine industries and promote interaction between Iran and other countries in the marine sector.
The 18th edition of the international conference on marine industries as well as the technical exhibition featuring the state-of-the-art marine technologies will be held in Kish October 18-21.
The conference and the exhibition on marine industries are seen as a forum that paves the way for companies to put their products on display and showcase their new research projects.
Marine economy and management, marine oil and gas industries, marine transportation, marine regulations and standards, preservation of the marine environment, coastal facilities, designing and building floating structures, modern marine technologies, renewable marine energies as well as human resources are among the issues to be discussed in the conference.
Researchers, academicians, managers and experts involved in marine industries will present their articles and research plans during the four-day conference slated for October 18.
Also, senior Iranian officials, as well as renowned marine experts, will be among keynote speakers during the conference which will include several expert-level workshops, panels, and committees.
The international exhibition on marine industries will also be held on the sidelines of the conference.
It should be noted that the conference and exhibition on marine industries have been organized by Kish Free Zone organization and Iranian Association of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in collaboration with other national marine organizations, industries, and businesses.
