Kish Free Zone Organization Joins World Free Zones Organization

Kish Island, November 11, 2020- Kish Free Zone Organization has officially joined the World Free Zones Organization to become the first Iranian free zone among the 620 members of this global not-for-profit organization.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Gholam Hossein Mozaffari, the CEO of Kish Free Zone Organization, stated that the World Free Zones Organization (WFZO) registered in Geneva and headquartered in Dubai, is the only truly international, multilateral organization for the free zones in the world today," World FZO provides an authoritative, collective voice representing the interests of free zones around the world.", he added.

Referring to the critical role that Free Zones have played in many countries' economies, KFZO head reiterated: "To ensure that the free zones have the most significant possible impact, they need a global, unifying association to bring them together. An association that can represent their interests, share their achievements, and support their continuous positive development and the World FZO has been created to address this need."

Gholam Hossein Mozaffari pointed out that Kish Free Zone Organization can have access to the full range of World FZO services and is also afforded full voting rights in the General Assembly as a voting member in the World Free Zones Organization.

Members will also benefit from several support services and educational tools for free zones and companies registered within them, delivered through a range of workshops and online webinars throughout the year.

It is worth mentioning that Kish Free Zone Organization had a scientific and expert presence in the latest specialized webinar of this organization on the new model of the world and the future of the industry in Post-Corona, held in September this year.
