Kish Consular Office Supports Afghan Students in Visa and Residence Affairs

Kish Island, August 22, 2021- The head of Kish Island International Student's Consular Office announced the full support of Afghan students in "visa and residency" issues in Kish Free Zone.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Zahra Hosseinzadeh, Head of Kish International Students' Consular Office, referring to the recent events in Afghanistan and in support of Afghan refugees living in Kish, said: "Afghan students had to travel to Afghanistan to obtain their student visas, but they were faced with the cancellation of flights and possible risks."

Hosseinzadeh added: "Afghan students can now waive their visa application and be assured that this office, while seriously supporting them, will take action at the appropriate time to pursue their residence permit and reapply for their visa."

According to Hosseinzadeh, Kish International Student Consular Office is working to ensure the safety and health of Afghan students currently living on the island, with the consent of the competent authorities, to accommodate Afghan male students without the need to leave Iran.

Referring to the start of student enrollment in the new academic year, Hosseinzadeh called on all university campuses to put conditional enrollment of students on their agenda as in the past, and said: "The Consular Office of International Students will issue the students' student visas at the appropriate time."

It is worth mentioning that if the international campuses accept the Afghan students living in Iran, the visa-issuance process for these students will be done quickly.
