The strategic location of the Persian Gulf island has already grabbed the attention of foreign investors as well as international business experts and media outlets.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Al Jazeera English, in an article published on its website, described Kish as “Iran’s new business hub.”

“Kish Island, 19 kilometers off the Iranian coast in the Persian Gulf, is gearing up to become one of Iran's newest international business hubs post the historic nuclear deal,” the website of the satellite TV reported.

“As sanctions are lifted, Kish Island - a free-trade zone and already experiencing a footfall of a million visitors annually to its duty-free zones - is positioning itself as a haven for foreign investors who can finally enter the Iranian market, free from the rules and regulations of the mainland,” it added.
