KISH Island, 4th Busiest Airport in Iran
Kish Island, March 25, 2016 - Kish international airport has been ranked as the 4th busiest airport in Iran during first half of Norooz vacations.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, 10287 flights were launched from and into airports across Iran, with Mehrabad Airport having the biggest share of air travels in the country.
Over 1.2 million passengers travelled by air between March 15 and March 24.
Mehrabad airport with 2844 flights, Imam Khomeini airport with 1759 flights, Mashhad airport with 1449 flights and Kish international airport with 831 flights were the busiest airports in Iran.
Shiraz and Isfahan airports respectively with 704 and 572 were ranked as 5th and 6th busiest airports in Iran.
