KFZO Head: House of Kish Indigenous People to Be Used as Tourist Attraction

Kish Island, January17, 2015- Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization has said that the House of Kish indigenous people will be turned into one of the cultural tourist attractions of Kish Island.

Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan made the remarks after paying a visit to the historical site.

According to the Public Relations Department and International Affairs of Kish Free Zone Organization a number of KFZO managers and deputies accompanied Dr. Mounesan during the visit.

KFZO head described the historical house as one of good tourist attraction opportunities on the Persian Gulf Island, saying "introducing the culture, history and lifestyle of the indigenous people of Kish is a great tourist attraction which can be turned as an attractive site for tourists."

Dr. Mounesan said the tourism and development departments of Kish Free Zone Organization are ready to boost the tourist attractions of the house via consulting with the tribal leaders and native residents of Kish to set up a cultural tourism zone on the Island.

Visiting the house should be placed on the agenda of tourism programs to make the tourists familiar with the culture and history of the Persian Gulf Island, he underscored.

House of Kish indigenous people is 200 years old. The 1,200 square meter house is situated in Seffin district. It has 15 rooms as well as two family and ceremonial yards. Tourists can visit the historical site every day.
