According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Mounesan, in an interview with a local TV channel described Kish Island as a safe haven for families and said it is a great place for expanding Halal tourism given its Islamic and touristy features.
"Many foreign tourists learn about the tourist attractions on the Island after visiting Kish and get interested in taking more trips to the Persian Gulf Island," KFZO managing director said.
He said KFZO has established direct Kish- Najaf and Kish- Istanbul flights as the first step in promoting Halal tourism and boosting economy of the island.
Mounesan also pointed to the presence of 40 mourning delegations on Kish Island for marking religious ceremonies and said such events can be a good opportunity for making non-Muslim tourists familiar with Islam and attract more Muslim tourists into Kish Island.
