Kish Island, June10, 2015-Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan says experienced German advisors contribute to the development of a comprehensive urban plan for the Persian Gulf Island of Hendurabi.
"We have employed experienced German advisors for developing a comprehensive urban plan for Hendurabi. In the first phase, they are supposed to prepare a marketing plan for the Island and after that the economic plans will be drawn up and finally the comprehensive urban plan will be developed," Dr. Mounesan told ILNA News Agency.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, the KFZO head made the comments on the sidelines of a visit to the headquarters of Iran Labor News Agency.
Dr. Mounesan reiterated that the construction of the airport and harbor in Hendurabi Island will be completed by the end of the current Persian calendar year (ending March 20).
Dr. Mounesan also said the construction of joint passenger terminal has already started on the island which will offer services to the passengers travelling to Hendurabi by air and sea.
"To get to Hendurabi Island, tourists should first enter Kish Island and will be transferred to the Island from there. 40-passenger airplanes will be used to transfer passengers from Kish to Hendurabi," the KFZO head added.
Dr. Mounesan said a 21-room hotel has been constructed in Hendurabi Island and private travel agencies take tourists to the Island.
KFZO head reiterated that other infrastructure projects will be carried out on Hendurabi Island as part of plans to develop the Persian Gulf Island.
