Iran’s Food Industry Activists Meet KFZO Head
Kish Island, October 1, 2016- A number of Iranian producers and importers of food products have met with Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan, the Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization on the sidelines of Kish Foodex 2016 exhibition.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, during the meeting the Iranian food producers and importers praised KFZO’s support for mounting the first edition of Kish international exhibition on food industries.
During the meeting, the Iranian food producers and importers discussed the challenges and problems related to the transfer of primary material to Iran.
Dr. Mounesan reiterated that Kish Free Zone Organization is ready to facilitate the transfer of raw materials to Iran via air and sea.
He described legal facilities available in Kish as a good advantage for food importers as it allows them to import raw food materials in the shortest possible time to maintain their quality.
Dr. Mounesan also said KFZO seeks to turn Kish island into a center for producing medicine, oil equipment, and food stuff.
Meanwhile, Ali Reza Manaqebi, the head of Iran’s import assembly hailed KFZO’s support for promoting food industry in Iran and said Kish island serves as a dynamic economic, trade and production center.
He said the potentials of Kish island should be fully introduced to change people’s approach toward the Persian Gulf island.
He also described Kish Foodex 2016 as a great opportunity for getting familiar with the capacities of Kish island.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Mounesan asked the director of Kish Investment and Development Company to make necessary arrangements including holding expert-level talks with producers and importers of food products, in an effort to help facilitate the import of primary food materials to Iran.
