International Kish Robotic Competition Comes to an End

Kish Island, November 26, 2019- the closing ceremony of the 1st International Kish Robotic Competition (KRC) was held on Monday, November 25, attended by the managing director of Kish Free Zone.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, these competitions were held for the first time in our country and at Sharif University of Technology International Campus, Kish Island from November 23-25.

14 teams from 5 international high schools in Iran, and also 14 different countries including Australia, Azerbaijan, Croatia, India, England, Japan, Pakistan, Tanzania, America, France, Ukraine, Greece, Romania, and Iran Fereshtegan School (Deaf Students) took part in the competition. The competition came to an end with the introduction of top teams in a ceremony held on November 25.

Dr. Mozaffari, the CEO of Kish Free Zone Organization, while expressing his satisfaction with the organization of the competition in Kish Island said: as the country's top universities international campuses are located on Kish island, organizing this period of competitions is a good opportunity to identify the capacities and good opportunities available in this area, especially in the field of science.

He pointed out that establishment of a permanent secretariat for this kind of competitions in Kish Island would be a great idea, and Kish Free Zone Organization would use all the island's capacities in the field of science, especially the Kish Innovation Center, to promote its status and collaborate with universities in this field.

At this event, Avicenna International School in Tehran came first to be followed by Savior International School (Qom) and Pakistan Embassy International School and College
