Croatian President Visits KFZO Stand at World Halal Day Exhibition
Kish Island, November 07, 2016- Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović has visited the stand of Kish Free Zone Organization at World Halal Day Exhibition off in the western city of Opatija.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović accompanied by the mayor of Opatija and Croatia’s Mofti as well as Iran’s ambassador to Croatia, visited KFZO stand.
They were served Iranian tea, pistachio, and rock candy.
Turning Kish island into a tourism pilot of Halal tourism in the Middle East region was one of the issues raised during the visit.
Croatia hosted World Halal Day 2016 Conference and Exhibition as the European country celebrated 100 years since Islam gained the status of institutionally recognized religion.
Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan attended World Halal Day 2016 Conference in Croatia.
Dr. Mounesan participated in Halal Day 2016 conference and exhibition as the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Kish Free Zone Organization presented its Halal products and services in the international exhibition. It also provided visitors with a Virtual Reality Headset, featuring the natural attractions of the Persian Gulf island of Kish.
World Halal Day (WHD) was the first international Halal event organized by Center for Halal Quality Certification and United World Halal Development organization.
The event which includes a conference and exhibition kicked off in the western city of Opatija on Wednesday, November 2 and was underway until November 4.
The exhibition, held on the sidelines of World Halal Day Conference, was aimed at promoting Halal products and services across the world, exploring Halal markets, boosting Halal tourism and facilitating trade negotiations among companies and activists involved in Halal business around the globe.
