Construction Engineers' Job Market Should be Balanced
Kish Island, July 18, 2016- Akbar Torkan, a senior advisor to Iran's President, Hassan Rouhani, and secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade Zones has called for balancing the job market for construction engineers.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Torkan made the comments during the inauguration of the 19th Assembly of the Organization of Iranian Construction Engineers which was held in Kish on Saturday.
Dr. Mounesan described "lack of balance in engineering services and inadequate demand in the market" as the key reasons behind the stagnation of construction industry in Iran.
He reiterated that there should be a balance between supply and demand in this regard.
Torkan, who is also the head of the Organization of Iran's Construction Engineers, called for using all capacities of construction engineers in a bid to develop the country's construction market.
The 19thAssembly of the Organization of Iranian Construction Engineers was held in Kish Island on July 16. Iran's Minister of Road and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi and the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade Zones Akbar Torkan were among the high-ranking officials taking part in the gathering. Also local officials, including municipal officials and legal experts from 31 Iranian provinces took part in the event.
