Attracting Investment in Hendurabi Tops KFZO Agenda
Kish Island, June 1, 2016- Deputy Director of KFZO for Economic and Investment Affairs says attracting new investors in Hendurabi tops the agenda of Kish Free Zone Organization.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Ali Jirofti said the KFZO treats foreign and Iranian investors equally and makes no difference in this regard.
"We seriously plan to attract investment in Hendurabi this year. Hendurabi comprehensive plan, as well as investment packages, have already been devised," he noted.
The KFZO official said private investors have already been involved in Henrurabi development plan.
Jirofti said the comprehensive development plan for Hendurabi was drawn up back in 2014 with the aid of two senior German advisers.
He said according to the plan devised by Roland Burger, the German adviser, Hendurabi economy is based on investment.
"We asked the advisers to locate the infrastructures including the airport, power plant, and harbour,"Jirofti added.
"The airport has already been prepared and was supposed to be inaugurated earlier in March," he said.
"We seek to complete the harbour by the year end," Jirofti underscored, adding that a 5-star hotel has already been constructed on the island which will open soon.
Kish Free Zone Organization has devised a comprehensive development plan for Hendurabi.
Hendurabi is an Iranian island located in the Persian Gulf, west of Kish Island.
