Specialized Meetings on Space Technology Held on Kish Island

Kish Island, December 15, 2022- A technical session focused on introducing technological advances in Iran and Russia"Space Technology" was held on Kish Island.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, On the sidelines of the 11th Iran International Aerospace Exhibition, specialized meetings on the space developments of the country were held jointly with the Iranian and Russian aviation organizations on Wednesday, December 14, in the meeting hall of Kish International Campus of Sharif University of Technology.

The purpose of holding specialized meetings is to present and get familiarized with the technological advances of the two countries and to discuss and investigate aerospace issues, including "astronautics and crewed space missions, the design of telecommunication and measurement satellites, remote sensing applications, and online communication with the Russian astronaut. "

According to this report, aerospace is considered one of the country's strategic areas, and outstanding activities have been carried out in this field, such as missiles and satellites by the country's top universities, such as Sharif University of Technology.

Also, specialized meetings were held to familiarize the general public, researchers, specialists, and professors with the activities of the joint aerospace field of Iran and Russia, which is particularly important.

Excellence in developing indigenous space technology and the promotion and growth of the penetration rate of space technologies were two critical axes of development in this specialized meeting.

Other topics of this meeting include; astronautics and manned space missions, the activities of the Aerospace Research Institute regarding the development of manned ships, the development of space probes, developmental steps in the field of air and space, strengthening astronautics, and holding various international events in this field.

It is worth mentioning that Iran's head of Space Agency, Hassan Salarieh, his Russian counterpart Yury Borisov, and a group of professors and students of the Kish International Campus of the Sharif University of Technology were present at this meeting.
