Kish Getting Regional Health Tourism Destination
Kish Island, May 30, 2016-Kish is getting a health tourism destination with more tourists from regional countries arriving in the Persian Gulf island to receive medical treatment.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, two foreign tourists from Kuwait and India are the latest tourists visiting Kish to get medical services.
They described reasonable prices as well as high-quality medical services offered by Kish super-specialty hospital as the main reasons for choosing the Persian Gulf island for undergoing cosmetic surgery.
Back in 2015, 90 Omani nationals traveled to Kish to receive medical services.
It should be noted that the quality of medical services at Kish super-specialty hospital has significantly boosted during the past two years.
The hospital, which currently has 64 beds, has already been equipped with modern medical equipment and machines.
International clinic for liver diseases, laparoscopy, heart surgery center, skin, and hair treatment center, as well as brain and eye clinics, are among the new sections which have been set up at Kish hospital during the past 2.5 years.
The promotion of health tourism has been high on the agenda of Kish Free Zone Organization as part of efforts to turn Kish Island into a health tourism center in the region.
KFZO has carried out various activities and projects as part of efforts to develop the medical sector in Kish.
Interaction with Iranian and international medical experts, equipping Kish hospital with state-of-the-art facilities, ICU and CCU units, as well as setting up a modern laboratory at the hospital, were among the significant activities carried out by KFZO to promote healthcare services on Kish Island in recent year.
