Rahim Sarhangi Appointed as New CEO of KFZO

Iran’s Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, Ehsan Khandouzi has appointed Rahim Sarhangi as the new CEO of Kish Free Zone Organization (KFZO).

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, The appointment of Sarhangi as the new CEO and the chairman of the board of directors of KFZO came following his introduction by the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council of Free Trade-Industrial and Special Economic Zones Hojatollah Abdolmaleki and the endorsement of President Raisi.

Under the decree which was issued back in June, Rahim Sarhangi will head Kish Free Zone Organization for a three-year term.

The new KFZO CEO holds aPh.D.in management from Sharif University of Technology where he is also a professor and faculty member.

Sarhangihas already served as the director general of the Entrepreneurship Development and Workforce Productivity Department as well as the chairman of the Labor and Social Security Institute in the Iranian Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare. He has also worked as the scientific and executive director of the Modernization Organization of Tehran Municipality.

Managing industrial development projects in the Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO), leading working groups on employment, technology and innovation at the Supreme Council of Job Market of Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade as well as the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science and Technology are among Dr.Sarhangi’sothertop executive management experiences.

The new CEO of Kish Free Zone Organization has also been dynamically engaged in academic activities, teaching economics and management at top Iranian universities and publishing many research papers onstrategicmanagement and entrepreneurship.
