Iran's First Vice President Praises Precautionary Measures Taken by Kish Free Zone to Prevent the Spread of Coronavirus

Kish Island, April 25, 2020- Iran's First Vice President, Eshaq Jahangiri, has expressed his satisfaction with the preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19 on the island of Kish, stressing that the measures taken on the island could become a model for the entire country.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, during his meeting with Gholam Hossein Mozaffari, the CEO of Kish Free Zone Organization, Ishaq Jahangiri said the continuation of the preventive measures will facilitate restarting economic activities on Kish Island.

Jahangiri thanked the Health Council and the private sector for their pioneering role in maintaining stability and creating social security among the various segments of society on the island of Kish.

For his part, Gholam Hossein Mozaffari said that effective and preventive measures have been taken for the post-Corona period, with the efforts of Kish Free Zone Organization and the cooperation of the four heads in the fields of investment, hotel management, the market and trade, and industry with the representatives and activists of the private sector, some effective and preventive measures have been taken.

Kish Free Zone Organization Director indicated that the joint cooperation between KFZO and the private sector will contribute to speeding up the resolution of economic issues after the Corona crisis, explaining that the preventive measures in Kish Free Zone against the COVID-19 are applicable in other regions of the country.
