International Relations to Be Improved through Membership in Silk Road Cities Association

Kish Island, May 8, 2021- Saeed Pourali described the accession of the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Free Zones to the World Assembly of Silk Road Cities as a valuable opportunity to develop international interactions in free zones.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, in the meeting of council of deputies, Saeed Pourali, the Deputy Director of Cultural and Social Affairs of this organization, referred to the necessity of developing international cooperation in the free zones of the country and said: "The free zones of Iran can be the venue for a comprehensive union between Asian parliaments and assemblies."

The meeting of the Council of Deputies was held in the presence of Hamid Reza Momeni, the Advisor to the President and Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Zones, and Jafar Ahangaran, the Chairman and CEO of Kish Free Zone Organization on Wednesday evening, May 6, at the Razi Hall of Kish International Convention Center.

Referring to the benefits of participating in the Sea Silk Road Economic Belt and the Maritime Silk Road and proposing that the Secretariat of the High Council of Free Zones joins the World Silk Road Cities Assembly, he said: "This is a valuable opportunity to develop the interactions of the international free zones."

Pourali also referred to the establishment of the ECO Cooperation Office on Kish Island and added: "ECO member countries constitute a large market. We must use these capacities for the total prosperity of Kish by strengthening our interactions."
