"Kish Day" is an Indication of the Island's Capabilities in the field of Tourism Industry
Kish Island, November 10, 2018- The Director of Public Relations and International Affairs of Kish Free Zone Organization, Iraj Sharafzadeh said: commemoration of "Kish Day" is an affirmation for the capabilities of this beautiful island in the field of Tourism Industry.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Iraj Sharafzadeh added that this year, for the first time the 11th of November has been named "Kish Day". A cultural initiative by Dr. Ansari Lari, which will have long-term and constructive effects to better introduce Kish Island nationally and internationally.
"The designation of a day called "Kish Day" is a new and successful idea that can introduce Kish's capabilities, potentials and attractions as the first free trade zone of the country and a valuable example of a beautiful, peaceful and coastal city much better." he pointed out.
The Director of Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization stated: due to the fact that tourism is the most important focus of economic activities in Kish Island and it is the tourism optimal destination of the country and the region which has been introduced as an "event-driven destination" in the minds of domestic and foreign tourists, holding "Kish Day" event and running special programs for this day can increase the benefits of attracting tourism on this beautiful island. In particular, with Kish membership in the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), there is a better chance of international interactions for Kish Island in the field of tourism.
Free minibuses transport, free taxi tickets, decorating the squares, sidewalks and the whole city with graphic designs and beautiful paintings in addition to holding fun cultural, social and sport events are among the activities that are considered for residents and tourists on the occasion of the commemoration of "Kish Day".
