Iran’s deputy health minister and head of food and medicine organization, as well as deputy head of Kish Free Zone Organization for Cultural and Social Affairs, along with a number of local officials were among the keynote participants of the event.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of Kish Free Zone Organization, Dr. Rasoul Dinarvand, Deputy Health Minister and Head of Food and Drug Organization hailed what he called KFZO’s positive approach toward medical issues and appreciated the appropriate organization of the conference.
He highlighted the role of modern medical equipment and state-of-the-art technologies in diagnosing and treating diseases and promoting public healthcare in the society.
Dr. Dinarvand said people expect related authorities to supervise the quality of medical equipment and called for more control over the equipment imported into the country.
There should be supervision over the prices and the quality of equipment imported into Iran as well as medical exports from the country, he noted.
Meanwhile, Safavi, Head of Supervision and Evaluation of Iran’s Medical Equipment Department called on medical universities to contribute to better supervision of the country’s medical industry.
He said the issue of handing over the supervision on medical industry to universities will be discussed by the managers and experts of medical equipment department as part of efforts to boost quality of medical equipment manufactured inside the country.
Meanwhile, KFZO deputy head for cultural and social affairs Dr. Rezvani underscored the significance of using modern medical equipment in providing more favorable healthcare services.
He pointed to the installment equipment of Kish super specialty hospital with medical facilities during the past year and said the activities in this short period of time have been much more than similar mover in the previous year.
After the completion of process, Kish hospital will be among the major hospitals in the country. He also expressed the hope that gathering of the managers and experts of Iran’s medical equipment industry be help in years to come.
At the end of the conference, top Iranian medical science universities won acclaim for their research and academic activities.
Also the exhibition of medical equipment exhibition was inaugurated in a special ceremony attended by deputy health minister Dr. Dinarvand, KFZO deputy head for cultural and social affairs Dr. Rezvani, as well as a number of managers and experts from Iran medical equipment department.
The 21st gathering of the managers and experts of Iran’s medical equipment industry, kicked off on Kish Island on Thursday.
The event was held in Persian Gulf Conference hall of Kish Convention Center on Thursday.
The gathering is aimed at composing the future plans of Iran’s medical equipment center, reviewing the challenges facing the country’s healthcare system, and holding educational courses for the experts of medical equipment.
Also the first edition of medical equipment exhibition dubbed Hormoz Health has kicked off on the sidelines of the conference.
Some one hundred companies producing medical equipment are taking part in the exhibition.
The exhibition showcases the latest state-of-the art medical technology and equipment. It is aimed at boosting interaction between manufacturers and consumers of medical equipment.
