1st Mid East Maritime Hotel Opens in Kish
Kish Island, February 15, 2016 - A five-star maritime hotel has been opened in Kish Island.
According to the Public Relations and International Affair Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, the maritime hotel, first of its kind in the Middle East, includes 100 glass floor suites, constructed on the sea.
Several ranking Iranian officials including head of the country’s Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and Tourism, Masoud Soltanifar, secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran’s Free Trade Zones, Akbar Torkan, as well as managing director of Kish Free Zone Organization, Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan, took part in the opening ceremony of the maritime hotel in the Persian Gulf island of Kish.
During the opening ceremony, Soltanifar hailed the activities carried out to boost the tourism industry in Kish Island during the past 2 years.
“Thanks to the measures taken by KFZO, the image of the island has been transformed in the eyes of the residents,” said Solftanifar.
The second phase of the maritime hotel, which includes a several floor building on the beach is also underway.
Two artificial beaches have also been constructed near the hotel as part of efforts to protect the natural ecosystem and shelter the migrant birds.
