Middle East’s Largest Marine Event Kicks Off in Kish
Kish Island, October 20, 2016-The 8th edition of the international exhibition on Marine Industries kicked off in Kish Island on Tuesday.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, the exhibition is underway in a 21,000 square meter area at Kish International Exhibitions Center.
Several high-ranking Iranian officials including the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Rear Admiral Shamkhani, Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan, the Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization, Iranian Navy Commander, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, and Mohammad Saeed Nejad, Deputy Minister and the Managing Director of Ports and Maritime Organization, took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
260 Iranian companies and 110 foreign companies have taken part in the exhibition which features the state-of-the-art marine technologies.
Companies from the Netherlands, Italy, Estonia, Russia, Germany, Spain, Norway, Britain, Sweden, Greece, Serbia, Portugal, Azerbaijan, India, UAE, Turkey, China, Singapore, France, South Korea, and Ukraine have put their latest achievements in marine industries on display at the exhibition.
Investment and technology transfer are seen as the major themes highlighted in the marine exhibition.
Drawing the largest sea paintings, visiting fish growing farm, visiting vessels at Kish ship building company as well as visiting the stands of Martyred Iranian divers are among the programs to be held on the sidelines of the international conference.
The international exhibition will be wrapped up on Friday, October 21.
