International Conference on Marine Industries Underway in Kish
Kish Island, October 19, 2016- The 18th edition of the International Conference on Marine Industries, as well as the technical exhibition featuring the state-of-the-art marine technologies kicked off in Kish Island on Tuesday.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, several high-ranking Iranian officials including the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Rear Admiral Shamkhani, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari and Mohammad Saeed Nejad Deputy Minister and the Managing Director of Ports and Maritime Organization took part in the opening ceremony of the 18th edition of the International Conference on Marine Industries.
Researchers, academicians, managers and experts involved in marine industries will present their articles and research plans during the conference.
370 articles from among some 500 articles sent by academicians, experts, and intellectuals to the secretariat of the 18th edition of the International Conference on Marine Industries, have been selected and will be presented during the conference.
The authors of the top three articles will be given awards on the second day of the conference.
Drawing the largest sea paintings, visiting fish growing farm, visiting vessels at Kish ship building company as well as visiting the stands of Martyred Iranian divers are among the programs to be held on the sidelines of the international conference.
It should be noted that the conference will be held in six parallel halls at Kish international Convention Center.
The conference and the exhibition on marine industries are seen as a forum that paves the way for companies to put their products on display and showcase their new research projects.
Marine economy and management, marine oil and gas industries, marine transportation, marine regulations and standards, preservation of the marine environment, coastal facilities, designing and building floating structures, modern marine technologies, renewable marine energies as well as human resources are among the issues to be discussed in the conference.
The conference which will include several expert-level workshops, panels, and committees.
The conference and exhibition on marine industries have been organized by Kish Free Zone organization and Iranian Association of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in collaboration with other national marine organizations, industries, and businesses.
