Kish Airport Flights Boost 10%
Kish Island, August 10, 2016- The number of flights carried out at Kish International Airport has witnessed a 10% rise in the first three months of the Persian calendar year (March-May).
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, 3,655 domestic flights were carried out at Kish airport in the first quarter (Which starts on March 21), showing a 10% year-on-year increase.
Also, the number of passengers flying from and into the airport reached 491,408 people, 18% up compared to the same period last year.
It should be noted that Kish international airport is seen as the third busiest airport in Iran, offering aviation services to over 1.8 million people every year.
Kish Air, an airline affiliated with Kish Free Zone Organization, operates flights to 18 destinations, including 3 foreign countries.
Kish Free Zone Organization has attached great significance to boosting aviation services for tourists as part of efforts to boost tourism in the Persian Gulf Island.
