KFZO Chief Hails Iran Volleyball Advance

Kish Island, June 19, 2016-The Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan has hailed Iran's national volleyball team for qualifying for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, after more than half a century.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Dr. Mounesan, in his message to members of the Iranian volleyball team and the officials of Iran's Volleyball Federation, underlined that the impressive victory brought about pride and joy for the Iranian people.

Dr. Mounesan expressed gratitude to all officials and sportsmen that have been involved with the team and wished them further success.

Earlier this month, Iran’s national volleyball team secured a quota place for the high-status event in Rio de Janeiro following a deserved victory over the Poles at the Men’s World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan.

Iran secured its invite to this summer’s Rio de Janeiro Games, qualifying for the men’s Olympic volleyball competition for the first time within the past 52 years.
