Kish Hospital Equipped with Special Disease Ward
Kish Island, May 18, 2016- Kish Subspecialty Hospital has been equipped with a separate ward offering medical services to patients suffering from special diseases like hemophilia and thalassemia.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, KFZO Managing Director Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan took part in the inauguration ceremony of the newly-established ward.
Dr. Mounesan said the ward has been set up as part of efforts to alleviate the concerns of patients suffering from special diseases in Kish Island.
The special diseases ward of Kish hospital will offer 24-hour medical services to patients suffering from Thalassemia, Hemophilia and kidney failure.
Special Diseases Ward of Kish Hospital can receive 75 patients every month. It has the permanent medical staff including a surgeon and a special nurse.
Dr. Mounesan pointed to preventive measures taken by KFZO to control special diseases in Kish and said according to the figures published by Kish Health Development Center, the birth rate of children with special diseases has come under control.
