Number of flights into Kish increase sharply
Kish Island, December14- The number of flights into Kish Island has witnessed a significant increase amid a considerable boom in the Persian Gulf island’s tourism sector.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, latest figures by Kish Airlines suggest a 20% rise in the number of domestic flights during a one-month time span.
Meanwhile, the number of international flights into Kish has witnessed a sharp increase of 29% in the same period. Also, the number of foreign tourists visiting the Persian Gulf island has increased by 35%.
Tourist inflow into Kish Island increased this year thanks to KFZO measures aimed at controlling tourist services including ticket prices and other transportation fees.
The latest boom in the number of foreign tourists visiting Kish comes against the backdrop of efforts by Kish Free Zone Organization to develop the tourism sector in the Persian Gulf island.
KFZO has announced that developing tourism industry tops its agenda. Kish Free Zone Organization has already launched diverse projects to expand the tourism infrastructure in Kish with the aim of turning the Persian Gulf island into a top tourist destination both in Iran and in the world.
