Thailand Ready to Expand Ties with Kish
Kish Island, September 9, 2015- Thai ambassador to Iran says his country is fully ready to expand cooperation with Kish Island in all fields including trade and tourism.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, Rasmee Chittham met with KFZO managing director Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan in Kish Island.
During the meeting, the Thai ambassador hailed “dramatic changes in Kish” over the past two years, saying the progressive trend is indicative of the planning and management of Kish Island’s administrative officials.
He described Kish as a haven for tourists and said his country is interested in expanding cooperation with Kish and paving the way for the active presence of Thai investors in the Persian Gulf Island.
Rasmee Chittham also invited Dr. Mounesan to travel to Thailad to visit the country’s tourism facilities.
Meanwhile, KFZO chief pointed to investment potentials in Kish Island, saying “There are diverse investment opportunities in Kish.”
"Given its successful experience in tourism industry, we can have constructive cooperation with Thailand. We suggest that Thai investors invest in recreational projects, constructions of hotels and restaurants, as well as banking sector and sustainable industries,” said Dr. Mounesan.
He also referred to investment advantages in Kish Island including visa free entrance as well as tax exemption, describing the Persian Gulf Island as a safe haven for foreign investors.
"In line with efforts to facilitate investment activities in Kish, KFZO supplies the investors with free land,” he added.
