Kish Island, July25, 2015- Managing director of Kish Free Zone Organization says special anti-counterfeiting holograms will be used in Kish in an effort to prevent the entry of low-quality Chinese goods into the Persian Gulf Island.
"We cannot tolerate the import of low-quality stuff into the island," said Dr. Ali Asghar Mounesan.
"Since last year, we focused on a mechanism to block the import of low-quality goods into Kish. Preliminary investigations indicated that some low-quality Chinese goods which have been smuggled into Iran are exported into Kish Free Zone," he noted.
Dr. Mounesan said special holograms have been designed by Kish Free Zone Organization which verify the authenticity of the products.
"The holograms come in three colors. The golden holograms will be stuck on products which are offered by the representatives of the original brand in Kish. The silver hologram will be used for the products whose authenticity have been approved but are not sold by the official representatives. And the blue holograms will be stuck on the products which don't have a brand but have already met our standards," said KFZO chief.
Dr. Mounesan reiterated that such measures come as part of efforts to boost business in Kish markets by preventing the entry of low-quality products into the island.
