House of Kish Aborigines Chosen as Top Private Museum
Kish Island, May30, 2015- House of Kish aborigines has been elected as top private museum regarding the efforts made to restore the historic monument.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization House of Kish aborigines was chosen as the top Iranian private museum during a ceremony held by Iran ICOM on the occasion of International Day of Museums and Cultural Heritage Week.
The ceremony was held at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Tehran.
House of Kish aborigines is 200 years old.
The 1,200 square meter house is situated in Seffin district.
It has 15 rooms as well as two family and ceremonial yards. Tourists can visit the historical site every day.
Kish Free Zone Organization has already started plans to turn the historic house into one of the cultural tourist attractions of Kish Island.
