Robocup Asia-Pacific 2018 Underway in Kish

Kish Island, December 8, 2018- Kish is hosting the 2nd edition of International Robotics Competition "Robocup Asia-Pacific (RCAP)."

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization quoting from Morteza Mousakhani, the chairman of the Iranian national RoboCup committee, out of 800 local and international volunteers, 220 have been selected to compete in the competitions.

Also, the 9th Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, and the 2nd Robocup Asia-Pacific International Symposium will be held on December 10.

Over 2200 participants from 15 countries are participating in RoboCup Asia Pacific (RCAP) 2018 competition including Russia, Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Iran which is being held at the Persian Gulf island of Kish.

"Students and juniors are competing at the event in 15 different leagues including Robocup Soccer, Robocup Rescue and Robocup Industrial.", Mousakhani explained.

The 9th Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics will be also held on December 10 in Kish Island.

"Out of 70 papers submitted to the secretariat of the conference, 14 articles will be presented. Professor Kazuo Ishii from Japan’s Kyushu Institute of Technology will be among the key speakers of the event." he added.
