World Health Summit Regional Meeting Kicks off in Kish

Kish Island, April 29, 2019- The 7th World Health Summit Regional Meeting has kicked off in Kish Island with Iran’s First Vice-President in attendance.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of Kish Free Zone Organization, the 7th World Health Summit Regional Meeting kicked off in Kish Island, on Monday, April 29, with the presence of the First Iranian Vice-President, Es’hagh Jahangiri, and 700 participants, including 150 foreign guests.

The Summit aims to boost health all over the world through collaboration and open dialogue, as well as to improve research, education, healthcare, and policy outcomes.

It is built on the stable foundation of academic excellence provided by the M8 Alliance and has strong political support from a variety of partners at global, national and state levels.

4 plenaries and 29 parallel sessions will be held on 29-30 April 2019 at Kish International Convention Center during the World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2019.

The six main priorities of the summit’s agenda are non-communicable diseases and mental health, health in unstable condition, environmental health and environmental issues, health training, and medical education, global health in transition and sustainable generational development.

World Health Summit is the annual conference of the M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, Universities and National Academies. Through the Inter Academy Partnership (IAP) for Health, it is organized in collaboration with all National Academies of Medicine and Science. It brings together researchers, physicians, key government officials, and representatives of health-related industries, NGOs and healthcare systems all over the world to address the most pressing issues facing every facet of healthcare and medicine in the upcoming decade and beyond.
