Special Asian Olympic Council Honor Awarded to Bahram Afsharzadeh

Kish Island, March 6, 2019 - Sports Advisor to the CEO of Kish Free Zone Organization, has been awarded the Special Honor of Competence in honor of many years of active participation in the Asian Olympic Games.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, the President of the Asian Olympic Council (OCA) awarded Special Honor of Competence to the Sports Advisor to the CEO of Kish Free Zone Organization and the senior manager and veteran of Iran’s sport, Bahram Afsharzadeh, in honor of many years of valuable and consistent strives.

The thirty-eighth General Assembly of the Asian Olympic Council (OCA) opened Saturday evening with the speech of Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, chairman of the council, with the presence of members of the Executive Board of OCA and representatives of the Asian National Olympic Committee.  Afsharzadeh, received his award during a reception held on the eve of the 38th OCA General Assembly from its President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah.

Bahram Afsharzadeh, the Five-time Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Iran, head of the former baseball, weightlifting and gymnastics federations of Iran, was also the 5-time OCA Information and Statistics Committee chairman and provided valuable services to Iran and Asia. At the moment he is also the Sports Advisor to the CEO of Kish Free Zone Organization.
