Gypsy Kings Family to Perform in Kish

Kish Island, April 26, 2018- The music band ‘Gypsy Kings Family’ will perform in Kish City Hall on Tuesday, May 2.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, the celebrated French band "Gipsy Kings Family" will perform in Kish Island for the first time on Tuesday, May 2.

The group comprises a few remaining members of the old band "Gipsy Kings" together with their progeny who are now considered Spanish folk musicians.

Based in Camargue in southern France, Gipsy Kings comprised two families, the Reyes family from Arles and the Baliardos from Montpellier. The new band performs the same style of music of their predecessors and has a vast global audience.

Paul (Pablo) Reyes, the veteran guitarist, and vocalist of Gipsy Kings, who is of Gitano descent (Spain), is among the old members. Jose Reyes is another survivor of the old band. 

The members speak French and sing in the Spanish dialect of Gitane, the native gypsy language which is a mix of Spanish, Catalan, and French.

The concert will begin at 23:00, May 2, in Kish City Hall.
