1st International Oncology Seminar to Be Held in Kish

Kish Island, March 11, 2018- The first International Oncology Seminar will be held in Kish Island with over 100 Iranian and foreign physicians in attendance.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of Kish Free Zone Organization, the first International Oncology Seminar will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Kish International Conference Center.

The Executive Secretary of this Seminar referred to Kish Island as the hub for holding scientific and research conferences which plays an important role in the development of health tourism in the country, "Professor Dr. Bob Djavan, as the academic secretary of the congress, Professor Dr. Irene Kührer, Senior physician at the department of general surgery at Vienna University hospital, Professor Dr. Béla Teleky, the founder and President of the European Federation of colorectal Cancer, and Professor Dr. Thomas Szekeres, the president of the Austrian Medical Association,  along with the best known Iranian physicians are going to attend the conference to share the updates on the most recent international trends and initiatives for the treatments of the three most common types of cancer including prostate, urinary tract and breast cancer." Dr. Mohammad Amin Afrasiabi added.

He emphasized that holding of this conference marks the establishment of Kish Cancer Center (KCC) and said: " The appropriate facilities and equipment in Kish island, including facilitated traveling for foreign visitors (due to the island’s not-required visa policy), as well as favorable weather, modern recreational and tourism facilities and lack of environmental pollution and also the specialized medical centers, has made it easier for international  visitors to travel to Kish Island and an ideal place for treating cancer patients in the country and the region."
