Chairman of Iran Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Praises KFZO Development Projects

Kish Island, November 24, 2014-According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Kish Free Zone Organization, the Chairman of Iran Parliament's national security and foreign policy commission praised the infrastructure, development and environment projects carried out on Kish Island.

“Valuable activities have been carried out in infrastructure, development and environment fields,” said Alaeddin Boroujerdi, in a meeting with senior officials from Kish Free Zone Organization.

He pointed to KFZO plans to develop the infrastructure on the Persian Gulf island and described the establishment of construction waste treatment facility as a positive move which will positively affect the preservation of the environment in the region.

“Unfortunately, the issue of protecting the environment, is not taken serious in many cities and provinces across the country and this will have dire consequence for the country,” he noted.

Chairman of Iran Parliament's national security and foreign policy commission also spoke of an imminent visit by other Iranian parliament commission to review the progress of development projects on Kish and other Persian Gulf Islands.
